امریکہ کے شہر لاس اینجلس میں ایک بہادر شخص نے اپنی جان پر کھیل کر 7 سالہ بچی کو آگ میں جلنے سے بچا لیا۔
جمعرات کی رات تقریباً ساڑھے 11 بجے رچرڈ ری سینوس اپنے خاندان کے ساتھ تقریب سے واپس جارہے تھے کہ راستے میں انہوں نے ایک گھر کے سامنے آگ لگی دیکھی۔
آگ کی شدت اتنی زیادہ تھی کہ اس نے گھر کے سامنے دو بڑے درختوں کو لپیٹ میں لیا ہوا تھا اور جلتی ہوئی راکھ ہر طرف گر رہی تھی۔
ری سینوس پیشے کے اعتبار سے پیرا میڈک ہیں، یہ منظر دیکھتے ہی وہ فوراً آگ کی طرف بھاگے۔ انہوں نے دیکھا کہ ایک چھوٹی 7 سالہ بچی جس کا نام سیوانا تھا، گھر کے دروازے پر کھڑی گھبرا رہی تھی۔
ری سینوس نے اپنی جیکٹ اچھی طرح بند کی، آگ کے شعلوں کی پرواہ کیے بغیر اس کی جانب بھاگے، انہوں نے فوری طور پر بچی کو اٹھایا اور اسے محفوظ مقام پر پہنچا دیا۔
کچھ دیر بعد فائر بریگیڈ کے عملے نے پہنچ کر گھر کے اندر موجود باقی لوگوں کو بھی نکال لیا۔ خوش قسمتی سے سب محفوظ رہے۔ سیوانا کے پاؤں پر راکھ گرنے سے معمولی جلنے کے نشانات آئے اور اسے رات بھر کے لیے اسپتال میں رکھا گیا۔
سیوانا نے بتایا کہ اسے آگ کے بارے میں اسے پڑوسی نے بتایا تھا، اسے اسکول میں بتائی گئی آگ سے بچنے سے متعلق ہدایات یاد آئیں کہ کچھ بھی اٹھانے کی کوشش نہ کرو اور فوراً گھر سے باہر نکل جاؤ، اسی دوران ری سینوس نے اسے دیکھ کر بچا لیا۔
اس واقعے کے بعد رچرڈ ری سینوس کا کہنا ہے کہ اب وہ پکا ارادہ کرچکے ہیں کہ مستقبل میں فائر فائٹر کی نوکری اختیار کریں گے۔
دوسری جانب فائر ڈیپارٹمنٹ کا کہنا ہے کہ آگ درختوں میں لگی تھی جو گھر تک پہنچنے والی تھی، گھر زیادہ متاثر نہیں ہوا، البتہ وہاں کھڑی گاڑی پوری طرح جل گئی۔ آگ لگنے کی وجہ ابھی تک معلوم نہیں ہو سکی۔
