اے آّر وائی نیوز کے پروگرام میں گفتگو کرتے ہوئے سابق کرکٹر باسط علی نے کہا کہ 50 اوور کی ون ڈے ٹیم میں بابر اعظم اور محمد رضوان کی جگہ آٹومیٹک ہے۔ اس بار سلیکٹرز نے ان دونوں کو ٹی 20 ٹیم ہٹانے کا تجربہ کیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ایشیا کپ کے اختتام کے بعد ان کے حوالے سے بات کی جائے تو وہ زیادہ بہتر ہوگا۔
اس سے قبل باسط علی کا کہنا تھا کہ جو اس ٹیم میں منتخب نہیں ہوا وہ خوش نصیب ہے۔ اگر موجودہ کھلاڑیوں کو ہٹا دیں تو پھر ٹیم میں کس کو رکھیں؟
ایک سوال کے جواب میں ان کا کہنا تھا کہ قومی ٹیم میں دوبارہ پرانے ہی کھلاڑی آئے ہیں، اس وقت ہم یہی سوچتے ہیں کہ جو ٹیم میں نہیں وہ اچھا ہے۔
باسط علی نے کہا کہ نئے کھلاڑیوں کو 4 دن کی کرکٹ کھلانی چاہیے، ہماری ٹیم میں اس وقت 5 اوپنرز کھیل رہے ہیں۔
