لندن : برطانیہ میں بڑھتی ہوئی ہوشربا مہنگائی اور کرائے کے جھمیلوں سے تنگ آکر ایک نوجوان نے اپنی زندگی کا منفرد فیصلہ کرتے ہوئے فلیٹ چھوڑ کر غیر روایتی طرز زندگی کا انتخاب کیا۔
یہ نوجوان، جس کا نام لیوس ہے نے کسی گھر کے بجائے ایک وین میں رہائش اختیار کرلی، سوشل میڈیا پر @lewis.ldn.vanlife کے نام سے مشہور ہے۔ وین میں اس کی زندگی کے دلچسپ لمحات دیکھنے کے لیے 51 ہزار سے زائد فالوورز روزانہ اس کی ویڈیوز دیکھتے ہیں۔
غیر ملکی میڈیا رپورٹ کے مطابق لیوس پہلے ایک مشترکہ گھر میں رہتا تھا جہاں وہ ہر ماہ پاؤنڈ1ہزار کرایہ ادا کرتا تھا لیکن اس نے فیصلہ کیا کہ اب وہ یہ رقم کرائے، بجلی، پانی اور ٹیکسوں کے بجائے اپنے خوابوں کی تکمیل کے لیے بچائے گا۔
اس نے بتایا کہ وین میں رہائش اختیار کرنے کے بعد اس کے ماہانہ اخراجات میں نمایاں کمی آئی ہے، اور وہ اب تک تقریباً 7 ہزار پاؤنڈ جمع کر چکا تھا۔
لیوس کا کہنا تھا کہ سب کچھ ٹھیک چل رہا تھا پھر ایک دن وہ بھی آیا جب حکومت نے نئی پالیسی کا اعلان کیا جس نے اس کی زندگی میں مشکلات کھڑی کر دیں۔
حکومت نے پہلی بار گھر خریدنے والوں پر اسٹامپ ڈیوٹی عائد کر دی اب میرا ڈپازٹ منفی 2ہزار پاؤنڈ پر آ گیا ہے۔لیوس کے مطابق وین میں گزارے جانے والی زندگی جتنی مشکل ہے لیکن اتنی ہی آزاد بھی ہے۔
اس کا کہنا ہے کہ میری وین میں سولر پینلز، بیٹریاں اور ایسی مخصوص دیواریں ہیں جو مجھے سرد موسم میں گرم اور گرمی میں ٹھنڈا رکھتی ہیں۔ اس کی صبح ڈرائیور سیٹ پر کافی بنا کر شروع ہوتی ہے اور کھڑکی کے پار اکثر لندن کی حقیقت نظر آتی ہے۔
لیوس نے ازراہ مزاح اپنے فالوورز کو بتایا کہ اب میں ٹریفک وارڈن سے تو ڈرتا ہوں مگر اس پراپرٹی منیجر سے نہیں جو ایک بلب کے بدلے 200 پاؤنڈ مانگ لیا کرتا تھا۔
لیوس کی اس کہانی نے ملل میں نئی بحث چھیڑ دی ہے، کچھ لوگ اس کی ہمت اور تخلیقی سوچ کو سراہ رہے ہیں جبکہ دوسرے اسے غیر عملی طرزِ زندگی قرار دیتے ہیں۔
لیکن ایسا کرنے والا وہ اکیلا نہیں ہے لندن اور برطانیہ کے متعدد نوجوان بڑھتے ہوئے کرایوں سے تنگ آکر،اب “وین لائف” کو ایک نئے طرزِ زندگی کے طور پر اپنا رہے ہیں۔
گزشتہ سال ایمی نکولسن نامی ایک خاتون نے بھی بتایا تھا کہ وہ وین میں منتقل ہوکر ہر ماہ 1ہزار پاؤنڈ کی بچت کر رہی ہیں۔
